Is my data really private?
Yes! All your reminder messages are stored locally on your device. We never have access to your message content. There is no cloud storage, no syncing, and no data transmission. Your messages never leave your device.
How do I adjust notification intervals?
Go to Settings → Notification Settings → Notification Interval. You can choose from 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours (default), 3 hours, or 4 hours.
How do Quiet Hours work?
Quiet Hours automatically pause notifications during your sleep time. Go to Settings → Quiet Hours to set your start and end times. The app supports time ranges that cross midnight (e.g., 11 PM to 7 AM).
How do I pause notifications temporarily?
Tap the "Pause" button on the main screen. Choose from preset durations (15 minutes to 24 hours) or set a custom time. Notifications will automatically resume when the pause expires.
How do I export/backup my messages?
Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Export Messages. Your messages will be saved as plain text that you can share via any app. You can import them later using the Import feature in the same menu.
Why aren't my notifications appearing?
Check the following: 1) Ensure notification permission is granted, 2) Check if Quiet Hours is active, 3) Verify notifications aren't paused, 4) Check battery optimization settings (Settings → Battery Optimization Help), 5) Make sure you have at least one active message.
What's the difference between archiving and deleting?
Archiving removes messages from your active rotation but keeps them for later. Archived messages can be restored anytime from the Archived Messages screen. Deleting permanently removes messages.
Does the app work offline?
Yes! Personal Reminders works completely offline. No internet connection is required for any functionality.
