No action required from us. You can delete all your data immediately without contacting the developer.
Your Data in Personal Reminders
Local Data (Your Messages): All reminder messages you create are stored locally on your device only. We never have access to this data.
Analytics Data (Optional): If you opted in to analytics, we collect anonymous usage data via Firebase Analytics.
How to Delete Your Data
1. Delete Local Data (Messages)
Simply uninstall the Personal Reminders app from your device. This immediately deletes all your reminder messages, settings, and local data. We have no copies of this information.
To uninstall:
- On Android: Long-press the app icon → App info → Uninstall
- Or: Settings → Apps → Personal Reminders → Uninstall
2. Opt Out of Analytics (Before Uninstalling)
If you opted in to analytics and want to stop data collection:
- Open Personal Reminders
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy
- Toggle off "Share anonymous usage data"
Existing analytics data in Firebase is automatically aged out within 14 months, but no new data will be collected once you opt out.
What Happens After Uninstall
- Immediate: All your messages and app data are deleted from your device
- Analytics: If you used analytics, anonymous usage data remains in Firebase for up to 14 months (industry standard retention), then is automatically deleted
- No recovery: We cannot recover your data after uninstall because we never had access to it
